PHP is full-day clinical treatment without living on-site — for people who need more structure than IOP but don't require 24/7 residential care. Avedis Recovery's PHP delivers 5–6 hours of treatment a day, 5 days a week, while you sleep in your own bed or sober living.

Where PHP Fits
Residential is often more than necessary. A few hours a week of IOP is often not enough. PHP is the level in between that insurance frequently requires you try before approving anything more intensive — and it's often the right call clinically, not just financially.
A typical PHP day runs five to six hours: individual therapy, process groups, skills training and medication management if you're on MAT or psychiatric medication, then you leave for the evening.

Is PHP right for you?
PHP works if: you're medically stable and not in active withdrawal, you have safe housing (your own or sober living), and you need daily structure but not overnight supervision.
PHP isn't the right starting point if: you're actively withdrawing from alcohol, benzodiazepines or opioids — that needs medical detox first, coordinated separately before PHP begins.
